Namely kaspersky Internet security v 20.0.14, Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro Alert. I have run full scans on my computer with 3 major antivirus systems with no problems from any of them. I despair completely on the whole business with Firefox. I have other browsers, Edge,Vivaldi and Opera, all working fine. Approx 2 years ago is when I started getting all of this clap-trap, and I put it down to Mozilla's interference in ruining a very good browser. Never had a problem back in the good old days when you set the browser up with all your add-ons and it never once faltered. I have used Firefox for more years than I can remember, not long after it's conception. However, as soon as I restart the computer and out of Safe Mode, into normal use mode, it will not allow me to bring up any web pages, not even a start page which i have set to Google.UK.Īt one time I could not even get the silly thing to open Firefox at all. If I go into Safe Mode with Internet connection, I can get the blessed thing to work ok. Please let me clarify exactly what the problem is. While you can use product keys from older versions to activate Windows 11, you can only do this on the device that originally was activated since you cannot transfer the license to another device unless you have a retail version of Windows. At the end of the day, Microsoft only wants people to upgrade their devices to the latest version of its operating system. Perhaps one of the primary reasons that the product keys from Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 work to activate Windows 11 is that Microsoft doesn’t make much of its revenue selling desktop licenses for consumers. The free upgrade was offered for a limited time. When Windows 10 was first released in 2015, Microsoft offered the operating system as a free upgrade for devices running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Instead, it’s a more mature version of Windows 10 with a new user interface, so the same upgrade path available on Windows 10 should also be available for Windows 11. It’s not a big surprise that you can use product keys from older versions to activate since Windows 11 is not an entirely new system.
